Riptide Punishers Youth Wrestling
Riptide Punishers is our advanced youth wrestling program for wrestlers (in K-6) that have completed 2 years of novice or who feel confident wrestling at a higher level. Skill levels are higher in advanced and techniques are more important.
The Riptide Punisher wrestling team honors our armed forces and the USA with American Flags and Punisher symbols on our singlets and team gear. The Punisher symbol is commonly associated special forces as well as other branches of the armed forces. Wrestling is a sport of warriors, and we honor our American warriors by wearing this logo and our nations flag. Our MYAA Trojan Novice and Riptide Punisher wrestling organizations will also have community service events to honor our veterans and strengthen the relations ships in our community.
Our wrestling team has some of the best coaches in the area that teach advanced wrestling techniques to our young athletes to compete at a local and state level. We provide a structured environment that allows the player to continue to excel in the sport of wrestling and push themselves to be their best on and off the mat. We believe that opportunities like this can change young athletes’ lives, teach them the importance of service to others and help build future leaders for our communities.

We stress the importance of traits such as: sportsmanship, honoring others (parents, coaches, opponents, officials), focusing on performance and execution rather than match score or winning/losing, learning positive thinking, mental visualization of success, goal setting and the realistic tracking of goals, embracing/ignoring pain (both acute and conditioning induced) and focusing on personal victories rather than medals, all of which will translate into lifelong success.
